This excellent quality product is exactly as stated, I love the color, the size is perfect and it works like a charm!!! Opens quickly and responsively, stays open for a few seconds and then closes back up. It makes a little sound when opening but it is quiet. It's easy to remove the trash bag and simple to replace with a clean bag. It's well worth the price and I love it!!!

We moved to a small town that bans the flushing of flushable wipes in the toilet. I needed a trash can in the bathroom beside the toilet that automatically opens to dispose of these and other bathroom trash. I could not have found a better trash can, and I spent hours looking for one on Amazon and reading all of the reviews. This one is perfect in every way and I would not change anything about it. I can’t imagine anyone giving this one other than a perfect review. I had purchased a different kind initially and within a week it was dented. This one does not dent. The quality is excellent. It works flawlessly and it actually is beautiful and not an eyesore. It comes in multiple colors and it is reasonablely priced compared to others I have looked at and I hope they continue to offer it at this price. I have been so impressed by it that I have now purchased 4 of them, including one for the screened in back porch. Even though the 3 gallon size sounds small, it really is not and it works great. The trash bags on Amazon that I purchase for these are about $5.00 for multiple rolls and work very well. For people that have septic tanks that do not want to flush toilet paper, this would be an excellent choice. They have a plastic rim that holds the trash bag in place and no odors escape the trash can. When I replace the trash bag, I spray some Febreeze in the bottom of the can to prevent any odors and there have been none. The first one I purchased was about 6 months ago and I use it everyday and the original batteries I placed are still going strong. I even now have one by my bed and I don’t have to worry about things accidentally falling into it and my bedside table no longer has candy wrappers from my midnight snack that I have to dispose of everyday in another room. My favorite part is that I never have to touch the trash can for it to open and close. I just wave my hand over it and it opens for a few seconds and then it closes perfectly. I highly recommend this. You will not regret this purchase and you can use it in so many different areas in your home.

The media could not be loaded. Came boxed in a sturdy cardboard box, not the flimsy recycled material. Each piece was packed in a protective surrounding and nothing was scratched damaged or missing. The top and bag holder fit like gloves.The base is aluminum and color painted. The color is true Burgundy and looks as depicted. The top matches in color even though it is ABS plastic. Sensor works great as you can see in video. You can put a lot in this 3 gal container surprisingly. The rectangular shape allows a nice fit by my bed. One minor annoyance the sensor is sensitive so if your covers flop over the sensor it activates. You can shut off the device with the power button to prevent this if you wish. Also if you want to keep it open for a period of time this can also be accomplished in the same way.If your looking for a well designed and sturdy product this it. Don’t hesitate to buy it or any of the larger sizes. If you have a need to replace a part they have a catalog of parts on line including battery doors.I bought this because of my dog digging in the open basket and having lunch with everything in it or worse shredding it all over the floor. Several test and he can’t get into the container, success! Well almost the battery door popped off somehow and he ate it. Now I have to buy another battery door Not even 24 hrs after receiving it. How disappointing!

We have a puppy that loves digging out the paper trash so this is perfect for keeping her out. The size is great too. I thought when we first got them that they were too small. It seems to be a bottomless trash can though! I love the burgundy color as well.

I really like the quality of the trash can. For the price you really can’t go wrong it’s a good value. It’s got great rating and I can see why. It takes two AA batteries, motion sensor works well and it stays open as it is supposed to. I like the size of the trashcan, but wouldn’t mind it being a little taller, but that’s just my opinion. The metal material is going to be easy to clean and wipe down.

I ordered this for my bathroom and it is the perfect size. It keeps the trash contained and out of sight!

I'm a biased reviewer, I LOVE Ninestars products. Well designed and made to last, you can't go wrong with this brand. I needed a smaller sized trash can for my craft room and wanted a sensor can (since I work with stained glass) and the price of this was incredible. The color is eh, but 5 stars to Ninestars, always.

The media could not be loaded. This small trash can is very attractive and endearing. The look and the sound it makes when opening makes me think of WALL-E or a small animal. We've been using it for a month with no problems and no battery change.We did have one difficulty in the beginning, and I'd like to document our solution in case somebody else finds it helpful. We keep our trash can under the kitchen sink. The sensor on the lid has a range of about 1ft, and it would get activated by the bottom of the sink -- basically it would stay continuously open as long as it was in a covered space. After some trial and error, we found that black matte tape on the surface directly above prevents signal from being reflected back to the sensor, which allows it to close. Now it works as intended.

This bin took a while to get here but I’m so glad I ordered it, it’s a lovely shiny purple colour and is easy to set up yo just pop the batteries (which it doesn’t come with) and secure the bag with the liner ring and then pop the top on, just move your hand over the sensor the lid comes up pop your rubbish in and then the lid closes, you have the option to turn this on and off with the button and I believe there is an option for the lid to stay open longer but I’ve not used this yet

Bought for my teen son for his bathroom! Love this option it’s a smaller size with discreet automatic open and close option!

Bought this to replace one of a different brand that has more features but broken after a year. I also have a Ninestars (chrome) that is very sturdy and have been working for three years with no problem. So I replace the broken one with this one. Hope this one last too. So far it's working perfectly for a week. Very pretty colour too.I hope it has more up-to-date features like opening by vibration (a knock/kick) and stay-open mode.

This trash can was a replacement for an older smaller unit in our main bathroom. I was looking for a can with a lid and the touchless auto-opening/closing feature is what we sold me. The unit consists of a steel base, a plastic ring to hold garbage bags in place and a plastic lid unit housing the batteries, sensor and motor. The base is well made and its steel construction will ensure long life. The plastic ring does a good job of holding the 15L bags we use (we cannot get 12L bags). My concern stems from the lid operation. The sensor does work well and the lid opens quickly. However, there is about a 5-second window to deposit anything into the base and if your hand is not withdrawn, the lid will hit it and stop. There is no auto-reverse or recovery. You have to turn the unit off and on again for the cycle to reset. I am also concerned that the lid is very flimsy and this will be a problem in future.
