I use this to take the strain off my winch when anchored. It seems to work just fine. It's such a simple solution it's hard to see what could go wrong.

Love using this hook for the snubber on our sailboat.

Beats tying a line to the chain anchor line. Once I have the chain snubber set, I just keep it in place on the cleats ready for it next deployment.

Does exactally what it is supposed to do.
