ACEBEAM H40 SST20 4000K 95+ WARM White LED Headlamp - 600 Lumens, Light Weight

The CCT at 4000K is perfect for this headlamp. The beam profile has a decent amount of flood with a good hotspot in the middle. The LED is no throw monster, so don't expect the get the kind of range that you would get with a XP-L HI. I bought this headlamp because of the variable output ramp mode and because it could take 14500 lithium ion batteries as well as nickel-metal hydride batteries. The ability to take two types of batteries is awesome. My 14500 batteries will last a bit longer and the turbo is nice to be able to access if you are working in a truck engine and need that extra momentary brightness. The color rendering index is amazing with this light and all colors pop, also 4000K is easy on the eyes at night. I have many SST20 lights that display a sickly green color, but that is completely absent from the headlamp. I use this more than my other 3 headlamps because it is very lightweight and the head strap is very comfortable.

Decent brightness. Absolutely LOVE the beam pattern. You get a tight hotspot with a great bright spill. Not sure how Acebeam managed that but it's amazing. The high CRI version I got has a great tint. The ONLY con is runtime and the fact my protected 14500 Olight cells are too long to fit. Ni-MH batteries are best. You may not get turbo but turbo is a 1 min mode anyway not really that useful. Turbo on all these high end light is just a marketing thing to see who goes higher. Really look at the runtime and lumens on high(or whatever mode doesnt step down) and that's what I call the real continuous lumen level. All in all love the light and LOVE the Acebeam brand!!!

Amazing product for the money, very well built and comes with a nice headstrap with good attention to detail. I don’t even use the headstrap with this light as I purchased this to attach to my dogs harness, but I use the headstrap for another headlight and it works great. This light has a nice tint and great hotspot with a usable spill, it works perfectly for my dog for our night time walks and seems like it will hold up well.

Very annoying feature when you have it on high, the beam flashes a couple times apparently to remind you that it's on high. this feature is not helpful and is very distracting and makes me never want to use the headlamp again. The way most lights deal with this it's that they will automatically step down to a lower brightness setting when the bulb is too hot.That said, the color temperature of this 4000 Kelvin is absolutely perfect. I also really love the form factor of this light.
