No other oil needed
I have just started using quality EVOO because I never liked the strong taste of olive oil. I used neutral canola for most things. Suffice to say now I get it. The problem was that I was tasting cheap olive oil. I have not tried the $30-$50/ 500ml oils yet but with Partanna I don't know if I will ever bother. What I have done is read up on the EVOO fraud which included many well known and more expensive brands. This from Real Foods for Life article:"Partanna Extra Virgin Olive Oil is cold-pressed oil, unfiltered oil grown and packaged in Partanna, Sicily. The Asaro family has been producing it since 1916. This EVOO has been the winner of Gold Medals at the L.A. County Fair." This is pressed once a year in October only and costs only $9/500 ml and you can get a 3 liter can that nets down to $5.50/ 500ml. At this price you do not need one oil for cooking and a better oil for drizzling. BTW it's packaged in an "old school" tin can (no light gets in) and it has a pop up spout that many seem to not use then complain about pouring

The finest EVOO I've ever purchased.
Oh my goodness I wish I had ordered this years ago. SO much better than what I can get at the grocery store. The taste is amazingly fruity! People who complained about the spout dripping need to figure out how to pull the inner, clear spout up, then put the red cap on it. It's not hard.

Finally
My tortured path through the olive oil wilderness has ended here.

Superb flavor
I'm so glad I upgraded my olive oil game to this oil. I've previously used several types of the more generic EVOOs on the market, plus several artisanal (US-based) olive oils, but decided to see if the hype around Sicilian, single-source EVOOs was true. This oil has a bright, green flavor with very little acidity, and excellent "roundess" and complexity. I've used it for all the usual olive oil applications, but found it's the perfect dipping oil with just a sprinkle of sea salt. I tried this alongside a couple of pricier California artisanal oils, and honestly preferred this hands-down. I can see branching out to try some of the Spanish oils, but this one will stay in my rotation permanently.

Great olive oil, a nice surprise
I usually get my olive oil from "Trader Guiseppe" but since that is a fifty mile trip, one way and I was OUT of olive oil, I decided "Amazon Prime to the rescue." But would Partanna extra virgin olive oil be any good? It was a nice surprise. A decorative old-fashioned can showed up, the kind that has a plug you pull from the opening (no fancy spout) and I gave it a try. Fruity, light, and slightly bitter at the end. Completely decent. In fact, it is as good as any I was using before. The can is nice as it's lightproof, and oil goes rancid more quickly if it's exposed to light. (Can't do anything about the oxygen.) I filled up my (lightproof) stoneware cruet and I was absolutely pleased. And it's Sicilian olive oil, which is one of my favorites. Better yet, it isn't one of the blends which is partly from Spain, Morocco and many other places--it's an early harvest, single-variety olive oil and it's unfiltered. This is like the oil we'd get from a friend's place in Sicily when we lived in Europe (palmed off to us at his restaurant in a mason jar, with a shhh--this is the DON'S oil. We never knew if he was joking or not. Maybe not.)For the price, I was astounded. Perfectly excellent olive oil.

Excellent product. I've purchased this brand numerous times and the consistency is great.I normally try to buy all organic everything, but this an exception for me. This oil is so light and delicious I don't use anything else for my cooking. I like it best drizzled on vegetables or salad. It's perfect for dipping chunks of bread into with balsamic.

Excellent product I will buy again Good price good value
Excellent product I will buy again Good price good value, @ $16.99 I would buy it again, hopefully AMAZON doesn't jack up the price like they so often do with so many items. Any higher price I go to the local Italian grocery and get it or a similar quality imported Italian EVOO.

Sublime
Beyond amazing.Out of this world.I had the urge for Insalata caprese ,and knew it would be worth the wait to hunt for the perfect Olive Oil.I came searching here, and well it was effortless..I was hesitant and ordered this one based on the reviews. The design of the container isnt condusive to pouring straight from the can,(though pretty)as other reviews have stated. But ,the product itself is outstanding,i am so glad i took the chance and ordered this.I bought buffalo mozzerella from T.J's w/ Pearl Tomatoes,Fresh Basil a tiny bit of salt on the tomato's and this light, flavourful ,tasty,Olive Oil and it was pure heaven ,my 16 year old picky twin boys demolished every morsel.
