Awesome little trike, but a bit large for the advertised age range.
Despite incomplete information and a lack of reviews on this trike, I decided to take a chance and buy it anyway because of one unique feature: the detachable pedals. I was looking for a riding toy that would grow with my little guy as he went from pushing to pedaling and this seemed like a cool idea.First off, this is a bit tall for the age range advertised, which is the only reason I'll give it four stars instead of five. The age range says 1-3, but it really should be 2-4 based on height. The seat height is around 13-14 inches from the floor depending where you measure it, and our 1.5 year old at 30" tall could only just reach on tippy toes. I ended up removing the seat (3 phillips screws, easy) and taping a piece of foam pipe insulation to the top tube for padding, which lowered the seat to under 12 inches and allowed him to sit with feet flat on the floor. I'll re-install the original seat when he gets taller.Other than that, the trike is really great. The quality is a step up from what I expected for the price, with solid injection molding and a sturdy feel. The front wheel runs on bushings but the rears have quality dual ball bearings, so it glides effortlessly. And it's also surprisingly finished, the box says designed in Germany and it looks it. It has nice finishing caps on all sharp items, even some inside the bike that you'd probably never see. And the folding mechanisms are solid with a nice mechanical feel. We've been using it inside, and the wheels and handlebars are rubber padded and easy on the trim when our guy runs into things. I haven't tried it outdoors yet, but the rubber wheels look perfectly suited to outdoor use as well.Assembly was a snap, it required unfolding the bike and installing a single bolt and nut for the handlebar (the wrench for the nut was included). Folding and unfolding isn't totally intuitive, but both my wife and I figured it out independently in a minute or so. That time could have been saved by reading the manual, but we were impatient.

Best toddler trike available these days.
I wasn't sure about this because it only had one review posted. It just came and this thing is awesome. It fits my daughter perfectly. I can't believe it didn't cost more. You really do get more for your money with this thing. This is for anyone looking for a trike for indoors or outdoors that is truly made for a toddler. My daughter just turned 3 and I bought her the Fly bike. It's a good product, just not big enough. This thing is perfect. I'm glad I decided to go with it and take the chance. Folding it makes it easy to take it to the park in the car. For now we'll just be indoors. I also love how the pedals easily come off and store on the bracket above the front wheel. She's still not coordinated enough to pedal but she's really getting around pushing herself with her feet.

Not safe for under 3 year olds.
I bought this trike for my 2.5 year old, because I thought the design was good and it folded up for easy storing. However, after seeing my boy ride it. It has some major flaws. My boy keeps getting his foot stuck under the back legs when he wants to go fast, because the two rear trike legs are too close to the seat and front wheels. The trike also tips over very easily when he tries the turn sharp. He tip and fell over at least four times on the first hour of playing with it. When using the pedals, it was safer, but moves much slower then a two year wants to move on a trike. Wish the wheel base was longer.

Great trike once you get the back wheels down
Really nice little bike. My 2.5yo loves it. He’s not quite ready to pedal on his own, so it a great option to have both pedals and glider. Glides really well. Others posted it can be a little tippy but that hasn’t been a problem for us. I could see if he was younger or smaller that it could be a problem. Even a couple months earlier when he was struggling with getting himself up/down playground slides it may have been a problem. Also the other review about how to do the back wheels was a life-saver. Pull the plastic sleeve with the lip away from the wheel to adjust. Not clear at all in the instructions.

Awesome!!!!
My son loves this bike!!!! We take it everywhere with its folding option that make it very small to carry. Its a balance bike, so since your little one is not so balanced, it will tilt him over sometimes until he gets it. But I hope they will make the manual more clear on how to fold/unfold. He took me some times to figure out that I should pull the black part, but not the whole leg, lol.

Don’t waste your time
I’m not sure if I got a faulty bike or something but the instructions are terrible and the one I received didn’t unfold to set up originally and now doesn’t fold back down to store because we had to permantley fix it. The handlebars come loose and fall off and have to be adjusted and put back all the time, did not go together well at all and barely works. I can push my son on it but to ride alone would be so dangerous since the handle bars can come off at any time.

2 year old adores it, but wheel came off after a short time using it
My son just turned 2, and he adores this trike. It's the perfect size. But after only 3 weeks of use, one of the rear wheels fell off! I can't find the screw in the grass where it came out, so the toy is useless until I can get a replacement screw. So disappointed.
