Best Kitchen Appliance Yet!
I will join the myriad of other people in saying, this is one of the best kitchen investments I've made. I can't believe I've never thought to buy a rice cooker before -- this makes rice easy, delicious, and perfectly consistent across multiple dinners. It's MUCH better than using the stovetop to whip up some Minute rice. The taste and texture of rice, and the value that this adds to your kitchen, is unbeatable. I have been using it exclusively for Jasmine rice, but I'm about to branch out to other types, I'm particularly interested in doing brown rice and making cake. Yes, it has an option for making cake - not rice cake, sponge cake. Like for a small birthday cake. I'M SO EXCITED.Y'all, I am a 34-year-old married man, and I still get giddy every time we're planning a dinner that a side of rice will complement. I brag about this thing with my coworkers. I take the reigns when cooking rice, so that my wife can focus on the delicious main course.I found this method online and it makes it so easy to do rice the right way:Step 1 - I measure out how much rice I want - I usually do 1.5 cups - and pour it into a mixing bowl (any kind of bowl with extra space will work).Step 2 - I fill the bowl with cold water (not hot, as this may affect cooking), and rub all the grains of rice between my fingertips to remove excess starch. Using my hand as a block, I'll pour the water out, and refill with more water. I repeat this process until newly added water is barely cloudy.Step 3 - Using my hand as a block, I pour the water down the drain. It's okay to have a little bit left in the bowl, you don't have to struggle to get all the water out.Step 4 - Pour the rice into the rice cooker bowl.Step 5 - Measure out and pour water into the rice cooker bowl. For Jasmine rice, I do about a 1:1.3 ratio. For 1 cup of Jasmine, I'd do 1-1/3 cup of water. For 1.5 cups Jasmine, I'd do 2 cups water. You can play around with it, but you typically want to use more water than rice when cooking Jasmine, you just don't want to use more than 1:1.5 rice to water for Jasmine. White rice should be a 1:1 ratio, but check online forStep 6 - Press "Menu" until your rice type is highlighted, then press start. For Jasmine, I use the Mixed Rice setting. One important thing to note about this rice cooker, is that the included cup is not a 1-cup measurement. It is smaller than that. I use an actual measuring cup when pouring my rice, and I always use the same cup to also measure my water. Consistency! It's an art, too though, so feel free to eyeball it once you get comfortable with your new favorite kitchen appliance.

Updating my initial review. Found a connection issue. No appliance issue. Operator error. LOL
This rice cooker works great. I never had any issues and I bought it November of 2024. I have enjoyed it immensely using it at least once every week or every other week. It has always stayed plugged in. Never an issue until today. This morning I went to make rice and nothing would work. It would not power on. My initial thought is that the appliance had just quit on me. I hadn’t realized that my house keeper had moved the appliance and had not only unplugged it from the outlet but had also loosened the cord at the appliance connector and after making sure all connections were tight, my rice cooker is operational and I am again ONE HAPPY CAMPER !!!! Changed my review to 5 stars from 3 and I apologize for not catching the connection issue sooner. Lesson learned. Again, this is a great appliance and worth every penny.

Perfect 3 cup rice cooker
I can't think of anything wrong with this rice cooker. It cooks rice perfectly with a quick setting (30 min) or the normal setting, cooks steel-cut oats in 60 min (or more if you prefer) or you can set a timer, it doesn't make a mess around the edges, easy to clean the steam vent and inside lid if needed. If you leave it on the warm setting for 24 hours, it won't make your rice gel on the bottom the next day. It's intuitive to use.

A perfect size for 2 person.
The perfect size for the two of us. I cooked rice, soup, and porridge. So far, it fulfills its purpose. However, I am a bit frustrated with the menu buttons being overly sensitive. I've accidentally turned on the rice cooker without realizing it and had to hit Cancel.
