She went for a brisk walk and has been wanting to go for brisk walks ever since.As for the cramps, we're not sure, she has been taking Borage Oil as well as the Maca (which also contains B6 and Zinc) and also Magnesium Citrate, and this has helped immensely with Hormonal swings. The cramps have got slightly better, so we are hoping this is all helping, a much better and healthier alternative to what was offered by her GP. She has turned from vegetarian to vegan and the whole family has followed suit. We are all much healthier, with our low-protein high-carb diet. Going back to Maca, she wants to carry on taking it to see if she can reduce the cramps she gets. I would say, it's worth a try just for energy it's given her. She says not to take it at night though, unless you want to be wide-awake and running up the walls. Take it in the morning instead. Price-wise I think it's very reasonable, as it's 2 months supply. I have used Organic Burst Maca Powder before and find it rather overpowering if I add it to anything like a smoothie (does the stronger taste mean the maca is more potent or better quality??). The Maca Pro are in capsules - I do not swallow in the capsules as do not like the thought of having to digest the plastic - I empty the capsules in to a smoothie direct or on to a spoon with some bee pollen grains and eat from the spoon - good as a boost or to combat sweet tooth cravings! The taste is not strong which makes me a little suspect of strength??) Do I feel any benefit from using these?? I think I do but hard to tell - I use them not for the vitality but for the hormonal support as I had an emergency hysterectomy 6 years ago and have been working to balance my hormones ever since - my main issue with these is I don't know if it is the maca powder working or the added zinc and Vit B6 as I do feel more energetic since taking these but that might be just the bee pollen?! Like I said - hard to really testify! 5000mg of maca is fairly high strength so for now I am trusting they are working.
