AirspunLoose Powder Translucent

I remember back in the late 60's and early 70's sneaking into my mom's make-up drawer in the bathroom to use this same powder. I have been using the original for years, and never really minded the smell since it goes away once applied. This is first time using the talc-free translucent formula. The smell is lighter- a bit citrus or lemon scent, but the coverage is what made the biggest impression. I am not wrinkly nor scarred, but habits of a lifetime of not wanting to be shiny or blotchy make me so happy this provides an even, matte and bright pearly finish. I have found the pads from the old container are much better than the sponge pads so I just wash them and reuse....

I am beyond impressed with this translucent powder! It’s an amazing dupe for high-end brands, offering the same flawless finish at a fraction of the price. The powder goes on smoothly, setting my makeup perfectly without feeling heavy or cakey. It gives my skin a soft, matte finish that lasts throughout the day. I love how it doesn’t oxidize or leave a white cast, and it blurs imperfections beautifully. This is now the only brand I’ll ever purchase—it's become a staple in my makeup routine, and I can't recommend it enough!

I purchased this powder after hearing so many good things about it. While it performs just as well or even better than my Laura Mercier translucent powder for a huge fraction of the cost, there are a few things that did lead me to drop it down a star. First of all, the packaging needs work. The lid is not secure - you just simply pull the lid off and place it back on. I need to be especially careful when storing my powder or else the lid will come off or if I drop it then powder will get everywhere. Second, I didn't realize how fragrant the powder was going to be. I am sensitive to a lot of fragrances and I sometimes get headaches so this product is a hit or miss depending on the day. Most days I can tolerate it but some days it makes me nauseous. If it wasn't for the fact that the powder blends well on my face and doesn't cake throughout the day, I'd probably say this was a waste of money but I can't argue when I'm saving a lot more money when I'm dropping cash on powder.Overall, I recommend this product if you're looking for a cheap, quality powder. But I'd stay away if you're extremely sensitive to perfumy fragrances especially since the smell is on your face.

Wonderful powder. The quality is amazing! Love the scent of the powder so much!! I am fair with a cool tone skin and the Translucent shade works perfectly for me.

PLEASE NOTE: I did not receive the Original Formula I ordered. I received the talc-free. This will be a review of the talc-free version.I am very close to 40. Every time I’ve worn liquid foundation I’ve felt miserable, watery eyes, felt like I had plaster on my skin. I decided to try what my Grammy used and just give Airspun a shot.All I used for my base is my regular facial moisturizer and the Airspun. I don’t care for the little “puff” included and I used a large powder brush to apply. The puff is about as flat as a fast food pancake, and the pancake might apply the product better.The Airspun is light as a feather, looks natural, and just blends and evens out my skin. I love it. It does require touch ups on my oily spots every once in a while throughout the day.The scent definitely has that “gramma cosmetics” smell, but it does dissipate… after an hour or so. It’s not worth knocking a star off for, but if they ever came out with an unscented version, I’d switch in a heartbeat.Pic is unfiltered, regular iPhone front camera.

My favorite finishing face powder .. This powder takes me way back with the smell and product it’s self . It’s super nostalgic and smells wonderful . The naturally neutral goes perfect alone without foundation on some days and then on days where I must leave my house and be presentable it pairs perfectly over my makeup keeping the oil and sweat at bay all day . I will continue choosing this product over all the others on the market .

It's a nice fine powder with an excellent price point. Coty should consider making it unscented to broaden its market appeal. Many people are sensitive to scented products and many others just don't want a scent to mix in or overshadow their chosen cologne scent. The scent of this powder is too strong and lasts too long for my taste, so sadly I won't be purchasing it again.
