My new favorite hair product!
I'll be honest, I didn't like this stuff at first. I've come to love it.I am 46 (Jesus…where does the time go?) and have medium short length hair; still have hair but just slightly thinner than in my youth. I typically wear it messy. Just hop out of the shower and hit it with the blow dryer for a minute to give it a bit more volume (hey, I said I was thinning!) and then put some goop in my hair - that is probably leading to my thinning! This stuff is all natural so no worries about putting some chemicals in your hair you can't pronounce and would probably kill a coked up gorilla fighting 100 dudes. Plus, it's made in the USA! Can't go wrong here! I didn't like it at first because I was so used to the chemical laden goop giving my hair ungodly amounts of holding power. Never mind it made my hair look crunchy and more than a bit sticky throughout the day. Not this stuff. In the can the gray clay looks hard as a rock. And it sort of is, until the heat from your fingers and palms does the trick and softens up in seconds making it super easy to work this stuff through your hair. The end result is a low shine medium hold that looks natural and can be reactivated through the day by running damp fingers through your hair. I ride motorcycle and this trick works great after wearing a helmet for hours too! Super functional that it lasts all day!I think I found my new go-to hair product for as long as I wear my hair this short. I read some other reviewers who were female and they loved the product too, so there's that. You don't get a lot of product but a little dab in your palm goes a long way. After using this for about a month, I can't recommend this more highly to you.

The last styling product you'll ever try.
This came on my radar from an IG ad. I hoped it would be the type of product I was looking for, though I had tempered expectations. They completely exceeded them. I have mid-length hair and wanted something that made the wavy, messy, look of not washing your hair for a few days and this absolutely accomplishes that.True to their word, just a good size lump is all you need to get control of longer hair. A little more may be needed depending on length but I am very impressed by how little is needed to get what you need. I bought my first tin 6 weeks ago and still have about half left, styling my hair every 3 days or so after a wash. The nice thing is it doesn't build up in the hair but rather, sort of absorbs into the hair. So in between washes, a little spritz from a water spray bottle, lets you sort of restyle the hair, and by doing so, refreshes and sort of bumps up the volume.I can literally say if this company said they were shutting down I would be in a mad dash to get as much as I could to have as long as possible. Definitely stop shopping for the cheap option that's "pretty good" and just get the "great" product that's reasonably priced. For what you get, this is a steal, you'll be very happy with the results of your style.

Real ingredients and actually works
Why did you pick this product vs others?:My choice of Highland was for what’s NOT in the product. I’ve made an effort to remove/reduce the amount of chemicals I put into or on my body. Part of the struggle has been finding quality natural products. This hair pomade is chemical free and actually works. Honestly I prefer it to my previous pomade for hold and style. Another benefit has been it doesnt make my hair greasy (and leave a spot on my pillowcase)

The new go to
This stuff smells fantastic and works great. I often will still use it with dry hair and it holds great throughout the day. Doesn't leave the hair really shiny like a lot of pomade I've tried and an excessive amount isn't needed for a great hold. My new go to hair product for sure. Tried a ton of hair products over the years and finally found one I'll be sticking with for a long time.

Difficult to work with, but nice natural look.
I wish I loved this more. The cons: It’s pretty difficult to work with (let alone scoop it out of the canister). Even with damp hair, it’s extremely thick and sticky, and you really have to pull hard to evenly spread it around. The workability is far inferior to a petroleum-based product like Cremo or American Crew. It’s almost like the consistency of tree sap if you’re familiar. The pros: Once you manage to get it to a place you like, it has a wonderful matte texture and a loose hold, which gives a much more casual, natural look compared to other products. It also smells fantastic. Very evergreen-forward which I enjoy.Overall, this isn’t a daily product for me just because it’s so hard to work with, but on the weekends when I have extra time to mess around, or if I don’t mind the look slowly getting messy throughout the day, this is a great option! Solid 3-stars.

It's a good pomade
This clay pomade is easiest to work with when the temperature is around 74F and higher. If the room temperature is around 66F, it takes longer to soften. I have thick, straight hair that sticks out if you cut it wrong. This pomade handles it pretty well. Once it's worked in, it holds the styling together. This stuff does not flatten the hair like regular pomade. Instead, it adds "body" or volume to your hair. There is no gloss. It settles in with no shine in your hair. And like most pomades, this Highland stuff also does a good job moistening dry hands. Another thing about this pomade is that it's hard to wash out, so if you keep it there, you can towel off and style your hair back in place without adding more fresh pomade. With delivery via Prime, it took 7 days, which isn't very prime. I could go to the drugstore and grab another brand of clay pomade in less than a day. This stuff is pricey, which I cannot figure out why. All-natural ingredients means they don't need to formulate compounds to make pomade, so it should cost less, but it's not. While it's a good product, I can't always afford the high price.
