Love LED Lenser, I have multiple headlights from them. I thought this one looked very interesting, so I got one, and gave it a try. It does exactly as advertised, and is very unique with its auto adjustable beam. However, I had it more in mind for a constant 900 lumen output. It does this, and it's adjustable, but if you leave it there, it will get HOT. I took it off after about 2.5 hours, and it was almost too hot to touch. I can't imagine what this does to the internal, non-replaceable battery. It was not hot on my forehead, it has a nice insulator pad that comes with it. Overall, an excellent light that does what it says...hands down. I also found it to be quite front heavy on my head...and not at first. It does come with a top band, which I did use, but it's just a tad bit heavy on the front for me, for longer periods. I would imagine with a "normal" camping or outdoors application, this light could be a game-changer. Just didn't meet my needs/wants from a headlight. It may be your dream light!

I don't want to discourage you from getting this lamp so far it's not too bad but ..... The blinking light when you change the focus is super annoying and unnecessary. They needed to add a second wheel for brightness control and just have the single button activate the adaptive setting. Only having low medium and high setting no fade or dimming feels very outdated these days. And it really needs a rear battery pack I feel like I'm going to fall forward wearing this thing. USB c charging!!! What were they thinking with this lame proprietary cable??? With that said I would buy again.

This is a fantastic headlamp with a ton of cool features. However, and this is a BIG however, this is not your run of the mill hike around your backyard at night, look under the hood of your car, headlamp. I’ve seen several unfair reviews from people who got a free sample of this product complaining about the bulk and technicality of this headlamp. If you want a regular kick around headlamp, you don’t sign up to get a free $130 lamp and then complain because it’s too bulky or advanced for you. There are plenty of other free or low cost options. I am a professional biologist who works at night and have used a myriad of headlamps over my almost 30 years of experience. I hike and handle animals and gear at night. I have also spelunked on occasion. Which makes this item great as it can attached to a climbing/caving helmet .Given its power and technical capabilities the unit really is not that heavy. In addition to being able to focus different gradations of white light brightness, this unit also offers great color options. I work with some animals and in some situations where light sensitivity is called for and having color options is fantastic. Admittedly, it does take some playing around with and reading directions to become familiar with all the functions and capabilities. But this thing is built super sturdy and if taken care of will last you a life time. And this is a great brand. I’ve had an ledlenser flashlight for almost 20 years and the thing is solid and still works great, despite being used a bunch in the field. So if you’re looking for a run off the mill headlamp for everyday tasks, this probably isn’t for you, but if you’re looking for an advanced headlamp with tons of great features that will last you a lifetime, this is the one.

The LEDLENSER headlamp has a lot of features but can be difficult to utilize all of those features unless you are really good with understanding and using the app. Without the app, you can power on the headlamp and change the light brightness, focus the light beam or widen the light beam and choose the strobe / emergency flashing. You have to use the app to change the light color from white light to red, blue or green as well as lots of other functions. My friend messed around with the app a lot and said it was easy to use and really had a lot of features and functions. The headband is soft and comfortable and has a rubberish section in the back that keeps the headband in place. It has adjustable straps to adjust the tightness on your head. The light can tilt and adjust easily and it stays in place and does not slip at all. It comes with multiple accessories so you can attach the light to a bike or ski helmet, hard hat, etc. It comes with a magnetized charging cable that is simple to charge. The only bad thing is the weight. It is really heavy and puts a strain on my neck. I am female, so maybe people with larger bone structure and people that are used to wear gear on their heads will not notice the added 7 ounces, but for me, I found it heavy and it strained my neck for long term use.

I was a little skeptical when I got this light with all of it's technology, but I was pleasantly surprised. The headlight is made out of aluminum which is great for durability. the head strap is a comfortable elastic with rubber on the back to keep it in place. This head lamp has tons of different light modes with varying brightness's. The light mode I found most interesting is the auto focus mode which automatically change the brightness depending on how close you are to the object your shining the light on. That mode works but I don't love it and much prefer the manual focus. To focus the light you turn the wheel at the base of the headlamp which works just as well as the twist focus I've had on other headlamps. I haven't used the app so I won't comment on it but the headlamp works just fine without it. The headlamp has excellent battery life I've used it several time for camping and it's only lost one bar of power. The headlamp does have a proprietary which could be a downside I would rather it use a USBC. Over all I think this is an excellent headlamp which you will love.

Use this at work everyday and it adaptes perfectly and last days

This is supposed to be a new item and I recieved a used one.I know this because the code i need to enter to register the light and get 7yrs warranty has been used already! Now I don't have warranty!!!
