I used to work for a company that produced a treat for dogs that was coated in this stuff. It wasnt all that much of a big seller compared to many of the other products the company produces BUT we had recieved more letters praising this dog treat than all of the other products combined. It really really helped dogs with bad joints, it seemed to give them a new lease of life (according to the owners). Dogs that could only plod along were suddenly running. Now i know this is a human product but based on my previous experience of its effect in dogs im definitely willing to give it a go!I have dodgy knees, they really get me down, i currently take turmeric which definitely helps. Green lipped mussel has currently shown that it might have the effect of reducing inflammation or swelling. This would certainly help me!The Capsules do have a vaguely shellfishy smell and they arnt small but ive taken larger tablets. If you struggle with capsules you might struggle with these. Id call them medium to large in size. The dosage is 2 capsules per day, so this pot contains a month and a half supply.The capsule shells are beef gelatine. I know the product is shellfish but this might be important to fish eating vegetarians.The product shouldnt be taken by pregnant women and there is no information on breast feeding and safety so the best advice is as always if you arnt sure then avoid.Its early days but i have high hopes for these pills and they arnt too pricey, which is a bonus!

I can absolutely verify that green lipped mussel works on joints etc. I've been giving it sprinkled on our cats food for several months now as her back legs would give way and she would fall over whenever she shook herself. Since being on this her legs have significantly improved. I balked at taking this myself as the outer casing is made from bovine which is a step too far for me so I'm going to break them up and use the powder for the cat in the appropriate doseage. Can't otherwise fault the product though.
