Unit was a great fit for my new HVAC system I installed. This unit and filter help to clean our air to reduce allergens in the air! Less dust and less pollen circulating in the air after I installed this! Highly recommend.

The filter house is great the 5 inch filter from Home Depot is very tight I bent the Piece of steel so the home depot filter will work super good

Proprietary filters
This is a very good air filter unit built well as all Aprilaire products that I have used are built. That said, it uses proprietary Aprilaire filters only. Standard 16x25x4 filters WILL NOT work as the unit uses a bracket to hold the filter in place at the top and bottom. I do understand the potential benefits of this design but the drawback, increased cost, is a dealbreaker for me.I do not recommend this air purifier.
