ACEBEAM FR20 2.0 Red Filter Lens for Defender P17, L17(New Version), L16 2.0 - Great for Signaling, Night Vision, ect

Acebeam doesn't understand what a red/orange filter is for or how to design a simple filter. Light entering the this type of filter at an angle just passes through and is not red/orange, so this results in white light around the edges. This filter is a complete fail.

Great service.Original Review:I bought this filter for my P17 and L16 2.0 hoping it is the orange version but it is NOT. The box label indicates it's the orange version but clearly it contains a red filter.It is the same red filter version that came along with my P17 ordered from Acebeam direct. So now I have a duplicate redundant red filter.

The media could not be loaded. It produces more of a reddish orange than orange, but that is fine. I needed something to use in an aircraft cockpit at night (red/orange and dim) and it does the job well. The cover does not get warm (I’m guessing because it’s more of a fluorescent lens instead of a red/orange filtering lens that get super hot).The reason for not 5 stars is because the light showing from the edge past the spill appears greenish. The green is very dim and not anywhere near as bright as the spill, but it is disappointing. At least the hotspot and spill retain a good amount of red/orange.
