Advice for Parents of Black/African American Girls
This was a replacement for the smaller helmet I'd ordered for my 3 year old granddaughter and returned because it was too small. The measurement would have been accurate if my granddaughter had hair texture like Caucasian children but hers is long and thick. This one fits PERFECTLY. For parents of Black/African American (however you choose to call yourselves) girls, please take into account that our girls wear braids, beads and multiple ponytails as hairstyles so this WILL fit toddler girls ages 3-5. The smaller one will most likely fit Black/African American boys as they may not have the hair/fit issues. This helmet is actually very pretty and this picture does it no justice. It match PERFECTLY with her new bike.
